The latest in Agilent’s data acquisition family

The LXI class C compliant 34972A is the newest addition to Agilent’s 34970A and 34980A data acquisition and switch family. The 34972A is code compatible with the 34970A with a simple address change and can accept any of the 34970A’s eight optional switch and control plug-in modules. It also comes with FREE BenchLink data logger software that lets you create tests without programming.

One less step between you and your data

Forget about buying expensive I/O cards, cables or converter interfaces just to connect your data acquisition equipment with your PC. Now you can easily connect your data acquisition unit to a PC or laptop using standard PC interfaces built into the Agilent 34972A data acquisition switch unit. This three-slot LXI mainframe offers gigabit LAN and USB 2.0 interfaces, along with a built-in 6½-digit DMM and eight optional plug-in modules to meet your needs. Use the 34972A to measure 11 different input signals, including temperature with thermocouples, RTDs and thermistors; DC/AC volts or amps;
2- or 4-wire resistance; frequency and period.

More ways to control and save your measurements

You can also forget about using cumbersome textural command lines to configure, control and monitor your tests. With the 34972A, you can control your data acquisition via a graphical Web interface — either on your bench or remotely from anywhere in the world — without sacrificing signal integrity or having to purchase additional equipment.

When you are not connected to a PC, the 34972A lets you collect logged data on the instrument’s internal memory or transfer logged data to your PC with a USB flash drive.
