Xtreme Performance
for Xtreme Environments
XTRA•GUARD® cables are designed specifically to
deliver xtreme performance and system reliability in
xtreme environments.
Hazard-matched to survive in the most demanding
operating conditions, there’s an XTRA•GUARD® cable
that performs in any hazardous environment, in any
application and in any market.
The ability to withstand the physical abuses of
extreme heat; cold; abrasion; flexing; immersion in
oils, chemicals, solvents and fuels; UV exposure;
EMI/RFI interference; and direct burial. That’s what
sets XTRA•GUARD® cables apart from all other
cables. Simply put, no XTRA•GUARD® cable outperforms or
outlasts .
From medical to military, aerospace to automotive,
when system integrity is the issue, engineers have
turned to XTRA•GUARD® for almost three decades! And that kind of trust is only achieved through year
after year of field proven application performance.
Your critical applications demand the guaranteed
performance and reliability of XTRA•GUARD®. So
don’t just specify XTRA•GUARD®... demand it!

Xtreme Performance
for Xtreme Environments
In today’s world of high-speed,
sophisticated electronics, every
application is critical. Yet the
integrity of your system is only as robust as the
electronic cable on which the control signals are
communicated.
That cable must be capable of
efficient signal transmission
while withstanding extreme
environmental abuses.
Select an inferior cable and you
run the risk of cable failure due to
a multitude of common reasons,
including abrasion, cut-through, and exposure to
extreme levels of moisture, oil or
flexing. And if the cable fails, your
system is do wn. Production time,
efficiency, profits… lost.
So avoid cable failure and specify XTRA•GUARD® cables with complete confidence. Settling for anything
less puts your system and your
reputation at risk.

Xtra•Guard® Has All The Xtreme Options
In stock and available worldwide, XTRA•GUARD® offers the industry’s broadest range of standard
AWG sizes, conductor/pair counts, shielding options and jacket colour choices. Available in put-ups as
small as 100 feet (30,5m).
Xtreme Jacket Colours For Xtreme Environments

XTRA•GUARD® cables are available in a range of long-lasting
colours. Select your colour for fast, easy identification, for safety reasons or
to match the colour of your system.
Custom colours are also available.
Whatever jacket colour you select, all XTRA•GUARD® cables offer a
round, symmetrical geometry to help insure a liquid-tight installation per
IP-67 or NEMA 6.
All XTRA•GUARD® cables are sequentially footage marked for easy measurement of specific cable lengths.

Xtreme Signal Protection Against Conducted Or Electrical Noise In High And Low
Frequency Environments Where EMI/ RFI Interference Is Pervasive
SHIELDING ENVIRONMENTS
Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) Is The Ability Of Systems To Function As Designed, Without Failure Or Unacceptable Degradation
Of Performance Due To EMI Within The System Environment. The Ability Of A Cable To Perform In These Environments Is Critical To
The Performance Of The Overall System. Specify SUPRASHIELD® And Your Systems’ Integrity Is Ensured.
EMC Design Considerations:
Conducted EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference): Commonly Emitted By High Or Low Frequency Signals Which Travel The
Length Of Any Cable. Cable Cross Talk Is Common In Unshielded Cables. Conducted EMI Can Cause Potentially Catastrophic System
Failures Without The Use Of Proper Cable Shielding.
Radiated EMI (Electro Magnetic Interference): Commonly Radiated By A Variety Of Sources Including Motors, Magnetic
Sources, Generators And Transformers, Radiated EMI Can Cause Significant System Failures By Inducing Undesirable Signal
Interference In Mission Critical Electronic Equipment.
FI (Radio Frequency Interference): A Common Design Concern Due To The Pervasiveness Of Broadcast, Communications And
Radar Transmitters, Notably Cellular Phones. RFI Interference Can Be Minimized With Effective Cable Grounding And Shielding
Systems Beginning With SUPRASHIELD®.
ESD (Electrostatic Discharge): The Rapid Discharge Of Energy, Common In Low Humidity Environments And Motion Systems.
ESD Is A Significant Design Concern In Electronic Systems And Can Be Minimized With The Utilization Of SUPRASHIELD®.
