EC
Series: High Performance Compact RFI Power Line
Filters with IEC Connectors
The
EC series RFI power line filters provide the highest
attenuation of any standard filter available in a
package size limited by the dimensions of the integral
IEC connector. These filters combine high common-mode
inductance with high differential-mode capacitance
and minimal parasitic elements, for effective attenuation
of line-to-ground and line-to-line noise across the
frequency range.
ED
Series: High Performance Compact RFI Power Line
Filters with IEC Connectors
The
ED series filters are more effective than generalpurpose
filters in applications where line-to-line and low
frequency line-to-ground noise must be controlled;
for example, to bring equipment into compliance with
FCC conducted emissions standards.
The
ED series offers significantly higher performance
than comparably sized filters, especially at high
frequencies, yet is in the EF series package which
incorporates the IEC power line connector.
Models
ED1, ED1C, and ED2 have .250” terminals on load side;
ED4, ED4C, ED8, and ED8C have wire leads. Models 6ED1C,
10ED1C, 6ED4C, and 6ED8C additionally incorporate
a separate ground-circuit inductor to isolate the
equipment chassis from power line ground at RF frequencies.
This
is a new generation of compact RFI filters with IEC
socket. A totally new design in both the internal
structure and manufacturing process makes this series
cost effective and compact. The EEA series supersedes
the EF series by providing superior performance, particularly
in the common mode at low frequencies. Mechanically,
its slimmer size makes it compatible with all similar
filters on the market.
The
new EEJ series is the next generation of power inlet
filters. The 1-15 amp versions are flange mounted
and mechanically equivalent to the EEA/EEB series.
The performance has been enhanced to meet the needs
for more attenuation. The EEJ series also has an extended
metal flange around the socket for improved high frequency
EMI shielding as well as a larger contact area for
the panel ground.
The
EEJ series also includes a 20 amp version that uses
the inlet IEC 320/C20. This product was designed to
keep up with the demand for higher current equipment.
Applications include higher current power supplies
and computing equipment, which consist of work stations,
base stations, servers, etc.
This
rugged international series of RFI filters incorporates
the special IEC power line connector. They are UL
recognized, CSA certified, and VDE approved.
Electrically
the EF international series are general purpose filters
effectively providing RFI control of line-toground
noise. The design is compact and meets the very low
leakage current requirements of VDE portable equipment
as well as (120 Volt) UL544 non-patient medical equipment.
Models with F suffix have .250” terminals on load
side; EF4 and EF8 have wire leads.
Model
10EF1FC additionally incorporates a separate ground-circuit
inductor to isolate the equipment chassis from power
line ground at RF frequencies.
H
Series: RFI Power Line Filters for UL2601 Healthcare
Equipment
The
H series filters were developed specifically for health
care applications. These products are suitable for
uses in both patient care equipment and non-patient
care equipment. Their extremely low leakage current
allows compliance with UL2601 and CSA 22.2 health
care specifications.
The
H series features products with a variety of current
ratings and case styles. Model 10EH4C additionally
incorporates a separate ground circuit inductor to
isolate equipment chassis from power line ground at
RF frequencies.
