The HLG series is one of MEAN WELL USA’s latest, fully featured, LED drivers, with power ratings from 40 to 600 watts, and achieving up to 95% efficiency. It’s available with all of the popular output voltages, IP65 to IP67 environmental ratings, CC and CV operating modes, four optional dimming modes, includes PFC, and has a seven-year warranty.

The HLG-320H-48A has all relevant safety certifications, and is IP65 rated so it is perfect for outdoor use in street lamps, LED signage, or other outdoor LED lighting applications. This model also has adjustable output voltage and current controlled by potentiometers located under rubber sealing plugs. Other models include externally controlled dimming functionality, and simple models are offered without adjustability. What you can’t see is that this driver achieves up to 95% efficiency, ensuring that the lighting system maintains that very high efficiency in terms of lumens per watt. It includes an active two stage PFC function and maintains THD below 20%, a requirement in certain applications. It operates in both constant voltage and constant current modes allowing it to interface to lights with integrated LED drivers or to be directly connected to LEDs.

HLG-320 provides the lighting sytstem with overvoltage and over temperature protection, and this module will start and operate from -40 to +70 degrees C. MEAN WELL USA offers a seven year warranty with this product but is designed and intended to last as long as the LEDs around 10-15 years.
