DESCRIPTION

8522-BLK-1000 is a low-temperature plastic lead wire designed for general-purpose electrical applications requiring reliable insulation and conductivity. The wire features 18 AWG (16×30 stranding) tinned copper conductor with polyvinyl chloride (PVC) insulation, conforming to MIL-W-76C specifications and rated for 1000V RMS at 80°C maximum operating temperature. The nominal insulation diameter is 0.08 inches with a wall thickness of 0.017 inches, and the conductor exhibits a nominal DC resistance of 6.35 Ohm/1000ft with a maximum recommended current of 16 amps in free air at 30°C ambient. Operating temperature range spans from -40°C to +80°C, and the wire is supplied on a 1000-foot reel with a bulk weight of 7 lbs/1000ft.
