DESCRIPTION

The PCS-XE68MA+ is an IDC (Insulation Displacement Contact) type male connector for cable designed for the PCS series of 1.27 mm pitch high-density connectors. This 68-contact connector is engineered for board-to-cable applications in downsized electronic equipment, featuring a compact form factor with dimensions of 52.13 mm (A), 41.91 mm (B), and 46.28 mm (C). The connector utilizes IDC termination technology for AWG #28 or #30 wire, providing substantial labor savings through standard cable connection methods. It incorporates an EMI-filtered design to meet FCC and other regulatory standards, a robust backshell interface structure, and quick locking with metal latch for secure mating. The low insertion force design ensures easy insertion and extraction despite the high contact count, making it ideal for office automation equipment and other applications requiring reliable, space-efficient interconnection.
