The NTE8139 is a thermal cutoff (thermal fuse), which is temperature sensitive device designed to prevent appliances and electronic equipment from overheating. Used in: hair dryers, irons, electric motors, microwave ovens, refrigerators….and hudreds of others. Interrupting current at 120/250VAC is 15A, and continious current is 10A. Operating temp. is 142°C (287°F).
