DESCRIPTION

177908-1 is a panel-mount cap housing for Power Double Lock (PDL) connectors designed for wire-to-board applications. This connector features 4 positions arranged in 2 rows with a 3.96 mm centerline spacing, supporting wire sizes from 26 to 16 AWG with insulation diameters between 1.3 mm and 3.1 mm. The housing is rated for a maximum current of 14 Amps per line and 300 Volts AC/DC, with an operating temperature range up to 105°C. The PDL system incorporates a semi-inner locking mechanism with audible click confirmation, polarizing ribs for proper mating alignment, and optional double lock plates to prevent contact back-out. The connector is available in multiple color options for ease of identification during assembly and maintenance, and is UL recognized, CSA certified, and VDE approved. Common applications include household appliances, gaming systems, vending machines, garage door openers, security systems, industrial controls, HVAC systems, and small UAVs.
