DESCRIPTION

747840-5 is a HD-20 subminiature D-type right-angle posted plug connector designed for PCB mounting applications. This shell size 1 connector features 9 contact positions with threaded inserts and boardlocks, utilizing .026 [0.66] diameter pin contacts with gold plating on the mating end and tin-lead on the termination end. The front shell is constructed from tin-plated steel with a 94V-0 rated black thermoplastic housing, and includes grounding indents for reliable EMI shielding. Key dimensions include A: 1.213 [30.81], B: .984 [24.99], D: .235 [5.97], and E: .733 [18.62]. This connector is ideal for applications requiring secure board-mounted D-sub connections with enhanced grounding capabilities.
