DESCRIPTION

The 3213-SL005 is a four-conductor shielded twisted-pair cable designed for general-purpose signal and control applications requiring EMI protection and reliable transmission. Each conductor is 24 AWG (19/36 stranded tinned copper) with 0.010" nominal PVC insulation and 0.003" nylon wall, color-coded white, black, red, and green per Alpha Wire Color Code G. The four conductors are twisted at 6.9 twists per foot minimum, wrapped with clear Mylar tape at 25% overlap, and protected by a tinned copper braid shield with 90% coverage minimum. The overall jacket is 0.017" nominal PVC wall in slate color with printed identification. Electrically, the cable is rated for 600 V RMS with a conductor DC resistance of 24.1 O/1000 ft at 20°C, capacitance of 39 pF/ft (conductor-to-conductor) and 70 pF/ft (ground) at 1 kHz, and inductance of 0.2 µH/ft. Operating temperature range is -55°C to +105°C with a maximum pull tension of 19.5 lbs and bend radius of 10× cable diameter. This cable is ideal for industrial control systems, instrumentation, and data transmission where shielding and signal integrity are critical.
