DESCRIPTION

The 9178B-CL005 is a precision coaxial cable designed for high-frequency signal transmission and RF applications requiring reliable shielding and low loss. The cable features a 30 AWG stranded copper conductor (0.012" diameter) with 0.011" nominal PTFE insulation (0.034" OD), a 94% coverage spaced-braid shield, and a 0.010" nominal FEP jacket (0.071" ± 0.004" OD). It is rated for 750 V RMS with a 2 kV minimum voltage withstanding capability and exhibits a characteristic impedance of 50 O ± 2, ground capacitance of 29.3 pF/ft at 1 kHz, and a velocity of propagation of 70%. The cable operates across a temperature range of -55 °C to +200 °C, supports a bend radius of 10× cable diameter, and is suitable for aerospace, test instrumentation, and high-reliability RF interconnect applications where low attenuation (29 dB/100 ft maximum at 400 MHz) and stable impedance are critical.
