DESCRIPTION
The 5690-BK is a silver-plated reducing bushing, part of the Powerpole® PP180 accessories line. It is designed to be used with the 1382-BK contact, allowing a connector with a 1/0 AWG (53.5 mm²) contact barrel to accept a smaller 2 AWG (33.6 mm²) wire. This bushing has an inner diameter of 0.34 inches (8.64 mm). While this component provides flexibility in wiring configurations, the electrical capability of the connection is derated when using a smaller wire. This accessory is useful in applications requiring the use of high-power PP180 connectors with lower-current wiring, avoiding the need to change the primary connector hardware.
