DESCRIPTION

The AWP-14-7240-T is a 14-position Insulation Displacement Connector (IDC) socket designed for terminating flat ribbon cables. This version is supplied without a strain relief and features a central polarizing lug to ensure correct mating. Key electrical characteristics include a current rating of 1 Amp, an insulation resistance of 1000 MΩ minimum, and a dielectric withstanding voltage of 500 VAC. Constructed with a UL94V-0 rated P.B.T. insulator and gold-flashed contacts, it is designed to operate in temperatures ranging from -55°C to +105°C, making it suitable for a variety of board-to-cable applications in electronic systems.
