DESCRIPTION

The Model 881 is a compact, handheld meter for measuring the equivalent series resistance of electrolytic capacitors in or out of a circuit, as well as low-value non-inductive resistors. It features an ESR measurement range of 0.1 to 30 ohms and a DC resistance range of 0.5 to 30 ohms, with results displayed on a 25-segment LED bar scale. The device utilizes a 100 KHz sine wave test signal at a low 15mVp-p, ensuring that solid-state components are not activated during in-circuit measurements. Powered by a 9V battery or an external adapter, this tester includes a one-handed tweezers probe, making it an essential tool for anyone troubleshooting or testing printed circuit boards.
