DESCRIPTION
The BDK16.05A00L5-5-3M is a compact incremental encoder from the Micro series featuring a 5 mm solid shaft and optical sensing method for precise rotational position detection. It supports up to 2048 pulses per revolution with a maximum output frequency of 100 kHz, operating at 5 VDC (±10%) or 10-30 VDC with typical consumption of 60 mA at 5 VDC and 30 mA at 24 VDC. The encoder provides quadrature output signals (A 90° B) with a zero pulse reference signal, complementary linedriver/RS422 outputs, and is housed in a compact 30 mm diameter polyamide body with aluminum synchro flange. It operates reliably at speeds up to 12,000 rpm (IP 42) or 6,000 rpm (IP 64), with an operating temperature range of -20°C to +85°C and rated for vibration and shock resistance per DIN EN 60068 standards. This encoder is ideal for motion control, robotics, and industrial automation applications requiring compact, reliable position feedback with high resolution.
