DESCRIPTION

The 8412-BLK-100 is a microphone cable featuring 2 conductors of 20 AWG high-conductivity tinned copper with 26x34 stranding and EPDM rubber insulation. The cable incorporates a rayon braid with tinned copper braid shield at 85% coverage, cotton wrap, and EPDM jacket for durability and noise rejection. Key electrical characteristics include a nominal conductor DC resistance of 10.6 Ohm/1000ft, shield DC resistance of 4.5 Ohm/1000ft, characteristic impedance of 67 Ohm, and a voltage rating of 600 V RMS. The cable operates reliably over a temperature range of -50°C to +90°C with a maximum recommended current of 4 Amps per conductor at 25°C. This microphone cable is ideal for professional audio applications, studio recording, and live sound reinforcement where signal integrity and electromagnetic interference rejection are essential.
