DESCRIPTION

9841-CHR-1000 is an RS-485 shielded data cable designed for reliable serial communication applications. It features 1 pair of 24 AWG (7x32) stranded tinned copper conductors with polyethylene insulation and dual-layer shielding consisting of 100% Beldfoil aluminum/polyester tape and 90% tinned copper braid. The cable has a PVC outer jacket with a nominal diameter of 0.232 in and operates over a temperature range of -30°C to +80°C with a voltage rating of 300 V RMS (CM). With a nominal characteristic impedance of 120 Ohm and velocity of propagation of 66%, this cable is suitable for RS-485 and DMX-512 applications in indoor and hazardous locations.
