DESCRIPTION
49643C62S2 is a molded GPIB cable assembly designed for general-purpose instrumentation bus applications. The cable features six 26 AWG pairs, ten individual 26 AWG conductors, and one 24 AWG conductor, all with tinned copper stranding (7x34 and 7x32 construction) for enhanced reliability and corrosion resistance. The assembly incorporates dual shielding with aluminum/polyester foil (100% coverage) and tinned copper braid (90% coverage), along with a 26 AWG tinned copper drain wire, providing excellent electromagnetic interference rejection. The cable is rated for 100V RMS (UL 4445) and 300V per UL AWM Style 2464, with an operating temperature range of -40°C to +80°C, and features self-rocking PVC insulation with a PVC outer jacket. This configuration makes it ideal for laboratory instrumentation, data acquisition systems, and precision measurement applications where signal integrity and shielding effectiveness are critical.
