DESCRIPTION
The 2038-80-SM-RPLF is a miniature symmetrical 3-electrode surface mount gas discharge tube (GDT) designed for board-level protection of high-bandwidth applications such as xDSL, cable broadband, and high-speed Ethernet. It features a DC sparkover voltage of 800 V (±25% @ 100 V/s) with typical impulse sparkover values of 1150 V at 100 V/µs and 1400 V at 1000 V/µs, ensuring symmetrical breakdown characteristics between line-to-line and line-to-ground configurations. The device offers high surge current rating with impulse discharge capability up to 10,000 A (8/20 µs), low insertion loss, capacitance less than 1 pF, and stable breakdown performance throughout its operational life. With a leadless surface mount design, low capacitance, and RoHS compliance, the 2038-80-SM-RPLF provides economical assembly and reliable protection for sensitive broadband circuits against transient electrical disturbances.
