DESCRIPTION

CG0603MLU-12E is an ESD protector from Bourns' ChipGuard® MLU Series, specifically designed to protect sensitive electronic components from electrostatic discharge damage. The device is rated for a typical continuous operating voltage of 12 V and provides ESD protection to IEC61000-4-2 Level 4 specifications (±8 kV contact discharge / ±15 kV air discharge), with a typical clamping voltage of 25 V and trigger voltage of 250 V. It features exceptionally low capacitance of 0.05 pF maximum and leakage current less than 5 nA, making it nearly transparent under normal operating conditions with a response time of 1 ns. The device operates reliably across a temperature range of -40°C to +125°C and is ideal for protecting high-speed interfaces including USB 3.0/USB OTG, HDMI 1.4, DVI, IEEE1394, and SIM card ports in consumer electronics and computing applications.
