DESCRIPTION

The EMS22A30-D28-LT6 is a 22 mm non-contacting absolute encoder manufactured by Bourns that provides continuous angular position measurement using magnetic technology. It features 1024-position resolution with ±0.7° nominal accuracy (±1.4° worst case), operates at supply voltages of 5.0 VDC ±10% or 3.3 VDC ±10%, and delivers CMOS and TTL compatible digital output with a maximum rise/fall time of 500 ns. The encoder supports shaft speeds up to 10,000 rpm with a ball bearing design, offers high repeatability and long operational life, and includes sealed options for harsh environments. Its compact size, bushing or servo mount capability, and non-contacting magnetic technology make it ideal for material handling equipment, brushless DC motor commutation, robotics, industrial automation, and petroleum refinery applications where reliable absolute position feedback is required.
