DESCRIPTION

HC85AY-1 is a miniature thermal cutoff (TCO) breaker device designed for overtemperature and overcurrent protection in lithium polymer and prismatic battery cells. It features a trip temperature of 85°C ± 5°C with a reset temperature of 40°C minimum, and offers high current handling capability with a contact rating of DC9V / 25A for 6000 cycles. The device has a maximum breaking current of DC5V / 80A for 100 cycles, maximum voltage rating of DC28V / 25A, and a low resistance of 5 milliohms maximum. With compact dimensions of 5.8 mm × 2.7 mm × 3.75 mm and RoHS compliant, halogen-free construction, this TCO is ideal for battery cell protection in notebook PCs, tablet PCs, smartphones, and mobile phones where reliable thermal protection is essential.
