DESCRIPTION

The P6SMB550A is a transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. It features a breakdown voltage range of 6.8 to 550 volts with a peak pulse power dissipation of 600 watts at a 1 ms pulse width. The device is housed in a compact surface-mount SMB (DO-214AA) package and offers fast response times of less than 5.0 picoseconds for bidirectional operation. It operates over a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C and complies with IEC 61000-4-2 (ESD), IEC 61000-4-4 (EFT), and IEC 61000-4-5 (Surge) standards.
