DESCRIPTION

PWR163S-25-R500F is a 25 W DPAK-style surface mount power resistor manufactured by Bourns, designed for high-frequency applications such as audio amplifiers and wireless base station circuits. The resistor features a resistance value of 0.5 O with ±5% tolerance, very low inductance of 0.1 µH maximum, and a thermal resistance of 5.2 °C/W, making it ideal for current limiting and capacitor discharge applications. It operates across a temperature range of -55 °C to 155 °C with a temperature coefficient of resistance of ±100 PPM/°C, and has excellent pulse characteristics with a maximum operating voltage of 250 V. The resistor is RoHS and AEC-Q200 compliant, features an electrically isolated backplate, and is compatible with lead-free solder reflow processes, providing reliable performance in demanding power dissipation scenarios.
