DESCRIPTION

SMAJ10CA is a bidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. This device features a working peak reverse voltage of 10 V, a breakdown voltage range of 11.9 to 12.3 V, and is housed in a compact DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package. The SMAJ10CA delivers a peak pulse power dissipation of 400 watts at 1 ms pulse width and maintains steady-state power dissipation of 1.0 watt at 75°C lead temperature, with a maximum clamping voltage of 17.0 V at 22.5 A peak current (10/1000 µs waveform). Operating across a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C, this RoHS-compliant device provides fast response times and is ideal for protecting sensitive electronics against transient overvoltage events from ESD, electrical fast transients (EFT), and surge conditions per IEC 61000-4 standards.
