DESCRIPTION

The SMAJ60A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in portable communications, computing, and video equipment. It features a working peak reverse voltage of 60 V, breakdown voltage range of 66.7 to 73.7 V, and a peak pulse power dissipation of 400 watts at 1 ms pulse width. The device is housed in a compact DO-214AC (SMA) surface mount package with a maximum clamping voltage of 96.8 V and peak maximum current of 125.9 A at 10/1000 µs pulse width. Operating over a temperature range of -55°C to +150°C, the SMAJ60A provides fast transient response and is ideal for protecting sensitive circuits against IEC 61000-4-2 ESD, IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 surge events.
