DESCRIPTION

SMBJ54A-Q is a transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection applications in a compact SMB (DO-214AA) surface mount package. This bidirectional device features a working peak reverse voltage (VRWM) of 54V and a maximum clamping voltage of 97.1V, with a reverse breakdown voltage range of 64.4V to 71.0V. The device delivers 600W peak power dissipation capability and exhibits fast response times of less than 1.0 picosecond from 0V to breakdown voltage. It is RoHS compliant and AEC-Q101 automotive grade qualified, making it suitable for protection of power buses, I/O interfaces, and overvoltage transient protection in telecom, computer, industrial, consumer electronics, and automotive applications.
