DESCRIPTION

SMBJ7.5A is a unidirectional transient voltage suppressor diode designed for surge and ESD protection in compact surface-mount applications. This device features a working peak reverse voltage (VRWM) of 7.5 V and a breakdown voltage range of 8.39 to 9.21 V, with a maximum reverse leakage current of 200 µA at rated voltage. The SMBJ7.5A offers fast response times of less than 1.0 picosecond and is housed in the industry-standard DO-214AA (SMB) package, making it ideal for portable communications, computing, and video equipment requiring robust transient protection. With a maximum peak current rating of 49.6 A and voltage clamping capability of 12.0 V, this device provides reliable protection against IEC 61000-4-2 ESD, IEC 61000-4-4 EFT, and IEC 61000-4-5 surge events.
