DESCRIPTION

The SRN8040TA-221M is a semi-shielded power inductor from Bourns' SRN8040TA series, designed for high-frequency switching applications in power conversion circuits. It features a 220 µH inductance with ±20% tolerance, a minimum quality factor (Q) of 10 at 1 MHz, and a self-resonant frequency (SRF) of 5.5 MHz. The inductor is rated for 0.85 A RMS current with a saturation current (Isat) of 0.99 A typical and a DC resistance (DCR) of 610 mO at ±20%. Operating across a temperature range of -55 °C to +125 °C with a 40 °C temperature rise at rated current, this component is AEC-Q200 compliant, RoHS compliant, and halogen-free. The semi-shielded construction and compact form factor make it ideal for space-constrained DC-DC converters, power supplies, and automotive power management systems.
