BournsThyristor Surge Protection Devices 58V 50A 2-Pin SMB T/R ...
DESCRIPTION
TISP4070J3BJR-S is a bidirectional thyristor overvoltage protector from Bourns designed to limit overvoltages on telecom lines and enable GR-1089-CORE compliance. The device features an ion-implanted breakdown region providing precise and stable voltage with low voltage overshoot under surge conditions. It has a repetitive peak off-state voltage (VDRM) of ±58 V and a breakover voltage V(BO) of ±70 V, allowing signal voltages up to VDRM without clipping while limiting higher voltages to the breakover level. The device switches into a low on-state condition when sufficient current flows due to overvoltage, diverting current away from the protected circuit, and automatically resets when current falls below the holding current level. With a high holding current of 150 mA and rated for multiple international surge wave shapes (GR-1089-CORE, IEC 61000-4-5, TIA-968-A, ITU-T standards), it is ideal for protecting data transmission lines with DC power feeding, rugged modems, and transformer center-tap grounding applications.
