DESCRIPTION

VP01E is an optical level sensor with unmodulated infrared light designed for liquid level detection in containers. It features a built-in amplifier with a Ga-As diode light source, transistor NPN output with break-switching (output OFF when sensor is in liquid), and a conical 90° prism tip that uses internal reflection in air and refraction in liquid to detect presence or absence of fluid. The sensor is housed in Polyamide 12 material resistant to various solvents, operates at 10–40 VDC with a maximum rated current of 200 mA, and provides LED indication for output status. With IP 67 protection, operating temperature range of -20°C to +80°C, and sensing accuracy of ±2.5 mm in vertical mounting, VP01E is ideal for industrial applications requiring reliable liquid level detection in harsh chemical environments such as waste water, oils, and aqueous solutions.
