80-2-5
ChemtronicsRosin Activated Static Dissipative Bobbins ...
DESCRIPTION
The 80-2-5 is a rosin-grade desoldering braid featuring pure copper construction optimized for fast thermal conductivity and rapid desoldering action. This product is available in a 0.060-inch (1.5 mm) width with a 5-foot length, packaged on static dissipative bobbins that meet MIL-STD-1686C and MIL-HDBK-263B standards to protect against electrostatic discharge damage. The braid utilizes rosin flux (Type R, Grade WW) compliant with ANSI/IPC J STD-004 and MIL-F-14256 F specifications, with a shelf life of 2 years and RoHS compliance. It is designed to safely remove solder from thru-hole components, SMT pads, BGA pads, micro circuits, terminals, and lugs while minimizing overheating and PCB damage. The recommended operating temperature range is 600–750°F, and flux residues must be cleaned after the rework process, making this product ideal for precision electronics rework and repair applications.
