DESCRIPTION

The 381LR221M400J042 is a Type 381LR ultra-high ripple aluminum electrolytic capacitor designed for demanding high-ripple-current applications. This 220 µF capacitor is rated for 400 Vdc (450 Vdc surge) with a capacitance tolerance of ±20% and operates over a temperature range of -40°C to +105°C (for voltages =315 Vdc). The device features extremely low ESR values of 0.603 ohms at 25°C (120 Hz) and 0.271 ohms at 20 kHz, enabling ripple current handling up to 1.42 A at 105°C (120 Hz) and 2.03 A at 20 kHz. With a nominal size of 25 mm diameter × 40 mm length and snap-in pin configuration, this capacitor is ideal for motor drive bus applications, UPS systems, and other high-ripple environments where space efficiency and reliability are critical.
