DESCRIPTION

The 940C16P22K-F is a Type 940 polypropylene film capacitor rated for 1600 Vdc (500 Vac) with a capacitance of 0.22 µF and ±10% tolerance. It features dual metallized electrodes providing self-healing properties and high peak current carrying capability, with a dV/dt rating of 1427 V/µs and peak current of 314 A. The capacitor has a diameter of 25.5 mm and length of 34.0 mm, with an ESR of 1.2 mO at 100 kHz and ESL of 26 nH, delivering an RMS current of 9.3 A at 100 kHz and 70°C. This design combines low inductance, low ESR characteristics, and excellent high-frequency performance, making it ideal for pulse, snubber, and high-voltage switching applications where rapid voltage transient handling is critical.
