DESCRIPTION

The 942C10P1K-F is a Type 942 round axial polypropylene film capacitor designed for high-pulse and snubber applications requiring very high dV/dt performance. This capacitor features a hybrid section design combining polypropylene film, metal foils, and metallized polypropylene dielectric to achieve both high peak current and superior rms current ratings. With a capacitance of 0.1 µF and ±10% tolerance, it is rated for 1000 Vdc (400 Vac) operation and delivers exceptional performance metrics including a dV/dt of 22 V/µs, peak current of 2283 A, and rms current of 228 A at 70°C and 100 kHz. The capacitor operates reliably across a temperature range of -55°C to 105°C with low inductance and self-healing characteristics, making it ideal for high-speed switching circuits, power electronics, and electromagnetic interference suppression in demanding industrial and commercial applications.
