DESCRIPTION
E1016-9 is a Cam-Lok J-Series crimp vulcanized male plug designed for single pole power connectivity applications. This red-colored connector is rated for 600V AC/DC and accommodates #2-#1 AWG cable sizes, featuring watertight neoprene insulators that are color-coded for easy phase identification. The connector utilizes a double cam principle providing a positive, vibration-proof connection with locked contacts that withstand a pulling force of 1,000 lbs and contact pressure approaching 600 lbs per sq. in. for minimum resistance. Contacts are carefully machined from high conductivity brass for smooth sliding fit and easy locking action, with recessed contacts protected by an insulating jacket extending beyond contact ends for safety. Common applications include motors, generators, indoor and outdoor lighting distribution panels, and stand-by power systems where reliable service under severe operating conditions is required.
