DESCRIPTION

The V7805-1500R is a non-isolated switching regulator from the V78-1500 series designed to provide regulated 5V output with up to 1.5A current capacity. It features extremely high efficiency up to 97%, requires no heat sink, and is pin compatible with LM78XX linear regulators, available in a right-angle SIP package configuration. The device operates over an input voltage range of 6.5V to 18V (typical 12V) and delivers low ripple and noise (45 mVp-p maximum) with integrated short circuit protection and thermal shutdown at 150°C. Operating temperature range spans -40°C to +85°C, making it suitable for industrial and consumer applications requiring compact, efficient DC-DC conversion without external cooling.
