DESCRIPTION

515-1176F is a one-position lightpipe designed to transmit optical signals in electronic assemblies. The component is manufactured from clear polycarbonate material (specification .9000-000-6401-04 or equivalent) to ensure optimal light transmission. Key dimensional and surface specifications include a maximum permissible mismatch of 0.002 inches, surface finish of SP.4-3 or better, knockout marks not exceeding 0.005 inches, and flash not exceeding 0.002 inches with Dialight marks at 0.005 inches maximum. The lightpipe is commonly used in indicator panels and display applications where reliable optical coupling between light sources and visual indicators is required, offering precise light guidance with minimal optical loss.
