DESCRIPTION
The MMTL431A is an adjustable precision shunt regulator designed to provide stable voltage reference and regulation in compact applications. It features a reference voltage of 2.495 V ± 0.5% with excellent temperature stability, delivering a temperature drift of 4.5 mV maximum over the -25°C to +85°C range. The device operates with cathode current from 1 mA to 100 mA, offers low dynamic output impedance of approximately 0.15 O, and maintains a maximum junction temperature of 150°C with total power dissipation of 300 mW. The MMTL431A is commonly used as a precision voltage reference for voltage regulators and comparators, as a replacement for low-voltage Zener diodes, in low device-count power supplies for microcontrollers, and for secondary-side regulation in converter applications, providing superior linearity and tight tolerance bands compared to traditional Zener diodes.
