DESCRIPTION

BK/ABS-5 is a BUSS ceramic tube fuse designed for fast-acting overcurrent protection in electrical circuits. The fuse features a 9/32 x 1¼ inch ceramic tube construction and is rated for amperage ratings from 1 to 40 amperes, with voltage ratings of 250V or less for most sizes and 125V or less for 25 and 30 ampere ratings, and 32V or less for 35 and 40 ampere ratings. It carries 110% of rated current and opens at 135% within 1 hour under standard test conditions, except for 35 and 40 ampere versions which open at 300% in 2 to 4 seconds. The ABS fuses are suitable for general-purpose circuit protection in industrial and commercial applications where reliable, fast-acting fuse performance is required, though sizes larger than 30 amperes are not recommended for standard clips or fuseholders.
