DESCRIPTION
MLVB06V18C001 is a multilayer varistor ESD suppressor designed to provide fast transient voltage protection with a response time of less than 1 ns, enabling equipment to pass IEC 61000-4-2 Level 4 testing. The device features a zinc oxide based ceramic chip with low capacitance of 1 pF, low clamping voltage of 110 V (at 1 A pulse current with 8/20 µs waveform), and a working DC voltage rating of 18 V. It exhibits low and stable leakage current of less than 10 µA, reducing power consumption, and is housed in a 0603 surface mount package measuring 1.60 mm × 0.80 mm × 0.80 mm. The component is lead-free, halogen-free, and RoHS compliant, making it suitable for high-speed digital applications including computers, mobile phones, USB 2.0 interfaces, and multimedia devices where board space savings and reliable ESD protection are essential.
