DESCRIPTION

MOVTP14V275N is a thermally protected through-hole metal oxide varistor combining surge protection with thermal fuse functionality for reliable end-of-life operation. The device features a 14 mm disc size with a working voltage of 275 Vac (350 Vdc), varistor voltage of 387 V at 1 mAdc, and clamping voltage of 473 V at 8/20 µs waveform. It delivers 710 J energy absorption at 50 A (10/1000 µs), rated power of 170 W, and peak current handling of 0.6 A with 6000 µs impulse response time. The component operates over -40°C to +105°C without derating and features tin-plated leads with leakage current below 25 µA at 75% V1. Applications include smart meters, surge protective devices, uninterruptible power supplies, power distribution systems, and white goods requiring integrated surge protection.
