DESCRIPTION

PTS120616V025 is a 6-60 Volt DC surface mount resettable Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) device designed for overcurrent protection in compact applications. This device features a maximum voltage rating of 16V, a hold current of 0.25A, and a maximum trip current of 100A, with a typical time-to-trip of 0.6 seconds and maximum time-to-trip of 8 seconds. The device exhibits low initial resistance of 0.55O minimum and post-trip resistance of 2.3O maximum, with a power dissipation of 0.50W at rated conditions. The 1206 (3216 metric) compact footprint, halogen-free and RoHS-compliant construction make it ideal for USB peripherals, mobile device port protection, battery packs, and consumer electronics requiring fast-acting overcurrent protection with automatic reset capability.
