DESCRIPTION

PTS12066V200 is a 6-60 Volt DC surface-mount resettable Positive Temperature Coefficient (PTC) device designed for overcurrent protection in compact applications. This device features a maximum voltage rating of 6V, a hold current of 2.0A, and a maximum fault current rating of 100A, with low initial resistance of 0.02O minimum and post-trip resistance of 0.08O maximum. The device exhibits fast time-to-trip characteristics with a typical response time of 1.0 second and maximum trip time of 8 seconds, dissipating 3.5W in the tripped state. Housed in a 1206 (3216 metric) compact footprint with dimensions of 0.55–1.15mm height, it is halogen-free, lead-free, and RoHS compliant, making it ideal for USB peripherals, mobile device port protection, rechargeable battery packs, and consumer electronics requiring reliable overcurrent protection.
