DESCRIPTION

PTS181216V050 is a PolyTron™ surface mount PTC (positive temperature coefficient) device designed for overcurrent and overtemperature protection in 6–60 volt DC applications. This 1812-format device features a maximum voltage rating of 16 Vdc, a holding current of 0.50 A at 23°C, and a trip current of 1.00 A, with fast time-to-trip characteristics and low initial resistance of 0.15 O. The device is halogen-free, lead-free, and RoHS 2002/95/EC compliant, with cUrus and TUV agency recognition. It is commonly used in medical equipment, telecommunications, rechargeable battery packs, white goods, and computer peripherals where reliable circuit protection and fast response times are essential.
