DESCRIPTION

SM8805 is an SMA female to SMP female RF adapter from Fairview Microwave designed to enable connections between two different connector types that would otherwise not mate. The adapter operates across a frequency range from DC to 18 GHz with a maximum VSWR of 1.25:1, featuring a 50 Ohm impedance and straight body geometry. Both connectors utilize beryllium copper contacts with gold plating per MIL-G-45204, PTFE insulation, and comply with MIL-STD-348 interface specifications. The adapter measures 0.67 inches in length and 0.28 inches in width, weighing 2.4 grams, with an operating temperature range of -55°C to +125°C. Common applications include general-purpose RF testing and enabling between-series connections, while also serving as a connector saver to protect expensive equipment from wear during frequent connect/disconnect cycles.
