DESCRIPTION

GX46CDB is a 600+ ampere, 12–800 Vdc hermetically sealed DC contactor featuring EPIC® seal technology rated to 175°C for enhanced safety in overcurrent conditions. The contactor incorporates high-efficiency dual DC coils (12, 24, or 48 VDC nominal) with internal transorb coil suppression, delivering very low continuous coil power of 7.8 W without EMI emissions or crosstalk, making it ideal for battery-powered systems. It meets stringent environmental standards including UL1604 for hazardous locations, IP67 for temporary water immersion, SAE J1171 for external ignition protection, and ISO8046 for flammable gas environments. Key electrical specifications include a maximum contact resistance of 0.3 mO, mechanical life of 1,000,000 cycles, operate time of 20 ms maximum, and dielectric strength of 2,200 VRMS at sea level. The contactor is position-insensitive with stainless steel hardware for corrosion resistance and operates reliably across -55°C to +85°C ambient temperature range. Applications include renewable energy systems, electric vehicle charging, industrial power distribution, and aerospace-grade switching where reliability, low EMI, and hermetic sealing are critical requirements.
