DESCRIPTION

The 62A15-01-120CH is a 24-position optical rotary encoder manufactured by Grayhill, designed for precision rotational input applications requiring reliable position feedback. It features 2-bit quadrature coded output, operates at 5.0 ±0.25 Vdc with a maximum supply current of 30 mA, and delivers a minimum rotational life of 1,000,000 cycles. The encoder includes an integral pushbutton with 3 million actuations minimum life, TTL/CMOS-compatible logic outputs, and is housed in an economical 1/2" package with optional connector termination at 0.100" centers. This combination of long operational life, optical coupling for noise immunity, and compact form factor makes it well-suited for global positioning systems, driver information systems, and medical equipment applications.
