DESCRIPTION
The 86JB2-203 is a 5x4 modular keypad from Grayhill's Series 86 line, designed for flange-mounted applications with unsealed construction and 0.500" button center spacing. It features snap-dome contacts that provide positive tactile feedback with a nominal button travel of 0.015" and typical operating force of 350 grams. The keypad is constructed with an ABS polycarbonate black housing, white ABS plastic buttons with black legends, and stainless steel contact domes that are selectively gold-plated for reliable electrical performance. The -203 legend option provides a combination of molded-in legends and insertable legend positions, allowing for customization through removable caps and interchangeable legend inserts. Operating reliably across a temperature range of -40°C to +80°C with response times of less than 4 milliseconds at make and 10 milliseconds at break, this keypad is ideal for industrial control panels, telecommunications equipment, and applications requiring durable, user-customizable input interfaces.
