DESCRIPTION

The 96BB2-056-F is a Grayhill Series 96 standard keypad featuring a 4x4 matrix configuration with white legends on black buttons and front panel mounting. It utilizes a conductive rubber contact system to mate with PC board traces, providing tactile feedback to the operator with 1,000,000 operations per button. The keypad measures 2.500 ± 0.015 inches (63.5 ± 0.38 mm) in width and 1.500 ± 0.015 inches (38.1 ± 0.38 mm) in height, with a button size of 0.308 square inches (7.82 mm square) and button height of 0.075 inches (1.91 mm). The device features matrix circuitry with terminal pin header connections, compatible with high resistance logic inputs, and is available with optional EMI/RFI shielding and EL panel backlighting. This economical keypad is ideal for industrial control panels, telecommunications equipment, and consumer electronics requiring reliable numeric or alphanumeric input.
